First of all... Hi
And welcome.
Secondly. No one here is called Will. Well, at least we don't think so.
So, who are we? Well, we are ex members of the motor industry, at dealership / garage level, from all positions. Our experience over the years has faced many challenges and from garage to garage, the patterns are all the same.
The same daily questions, queries, problems and customer behaviour. These samey traits have all collaborated and brought us to here. Garages have long suffered from a stigma over the years and as much as the industry has changed, that stigma still lingers like the smell of a rotten fish stuffed down the back of your radiator.
We mean... Look, years ago, you'd enter an establishment and be faced with some beer swilling, cigarette infused portley bloke with a brown stripey suit, long hair and a thick tache, who would be hell bent on telling you anything in order to part you with your hard earned cash.
These days, regulation authorities won't allow that to happen. There's so much red tape to wade through, that the average garage employee would most likely be more suited to being a member of an olympic acrobat team. So, operations of days past are gone.
From a garage employee perspective, customers are just as bad. Don't scoff, it's not all of you. Some of you are really pleasant to deal with. Some of you.... Well, we'll leave that to your own imagination. It's often highlighted in the industry that "Life would be so much easier without customers".
However, we know that customers are the business we all need. Its what keeps the sign lit up over the door and the people who work there rely on a monthly income to pay the bills, but like you, they're also human beings and human beings are well known for making the odd mistake and bad decision. Yet, society today depicts that perfection is the only thing we should expect, bar none.
You've only got to look at these "Where there's blame, there's a claim" vultures that are everywhere these days, in order to see that. Some things are completely out of control for some. It is however, how its managed to get a resolve, thats the key to a perfect harminisation between garage and customer.
So, willbearin. A play on words if you look at it. Wheel bearings are things that over a period of time, begin to grumble. A bit like a garage employee really. We've taken all the daily faff a garage contends with and put them all into a handy little blog for you all to have a butchers over, so that as a customer, you can see why a garage does what it does when you are faced with a problem.
It's not about pulling fast ones, you'd be a complete moon trumpet to think that, but as a business, a garage's employees are trained to prevent dissipation to their employer, by following guidelines.
And they are equipped with more knowledge than you know and sadly, they also know when a customer is trying it on. So, before you start stamping your feet like a 5 year old that hasn't got their own way in the toy aisle at the supermarket, sit back, have a wander around the various topics that will crop up and educate yourselves in the world of why your garage does what it does.
